Welcome back to the Arbitrage Wormall Blog. It's almost been an entire year since we last entertained you with the ups and downs, trials and tribulations of racing in Europe but we're back to do it all over again! Since we left Europe last year we've changed up the roster, experienced some good wins and also had several set backs with injuries and accidents out on the road. However "alles goed" and we'd like to introduce and welcome new riders to the team for 2011; Brad Robson, Christian & Allee Proud, Nick Graham-Dawson, Pat Gill and Bella King. A very big congratulations is in order for Allee Proud and I hope you all have your fingers crossed for her as she competes in the Junior World Track Championships in Moscow from the 18th of August.
Down to business, Stephen Hall, Glenn Harris, Matt Irvine and Brad Robson will be making this years trip to Europe. We have our flights booked and bags packed for the airport leaving Perth at 12.05am with our first stop set for Hong Kong. Travelling with Cathay Pacific we've scheduled in a long stopover to enjoy the city before hopping back on a plane en route to Paris. We will arrive in Paris at 6.30am Friday morning and have a busy day planned which includes; The Louvre, Champ Elysees, Arc d'Triomph, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and capping it off with dinner at the famous Roger la Grenouille restaurant. The next day we have until about midday to continue exploring Paris before we pick up the car and begin the long road trip to Belgium! We will have a few days out training to shake the flight out of our legs before we jump into the racing. At this stage our first kermesse (race) is planned for Tuesday in the town of Booischot.
